Appointments

Drumragh Family Practice is under enormous strain through the winter period. We are not able to manage the demand, which we encounter each day, as there is only a limited number of appointments each day.

Once we have reached out limit and all appointments have been taken, then we would ask patients to use other NHS services which are available, or accident emergency where there is a genuine emergency.

With the relaxation of many COVID restrictions Drumragh Family Practice have started to bring back some pre-bookable face to face and telephone appointments. These slots will be released every Thursday at 2pm. The number of face-to-face slots will depend on the availability of medical staff, and will be reduced at times of increased demand such as before and after Bank Holidays. Patients with can book these appointments for conditions of a more routine nature and allow an appointment with the doctor of their choice.

We would ask that patients only request an urgent on the day appointment where there is a serious condition, which cannot wait for a routine slot.

On Line services for Repeat Prescription is available and we encourage our patients to use this system which is available 24 hours a day and reduces the demand on our telephone system, please enquire at Reception.
